1. What materials are available?

Shutters are made from real wood (Paulownia wood,  basswood), and polywood or PVC/vinyl, each offering
different durability and price points
 

•       2. How long will they last?  

            Real wood and vinyle shutters are known for their durability and can last for decades, often 50+ years,
            making them a permanent home fixture. 

3. What about wood quality and defects?
   Depending on the type of wood used, how defects are handled, and the wood curing process to ensure the shutters won't warp, shrink, or age prematurely. 

4. What are the louver size options?
     Choose a louver size (e.g., 2.5'', 3.0'', 3.5", 4.5") that suits your desired light and view, with larger options often disappearing from view when opened.

5. Should I use a midrail?
      A midrail is a horizontal plank that allows the top and bottom louvers to operate independently, providing more control over light and privacy. panel height over 72'' is strongly suggested to add mid-rails. 

6. How many panels do I need?
    The number of panels depends on the window size; smaller windows may have a single panel, while larger ones require multiple panels, which can be bifolded. 

7. Can shutters be installed on any window?
     Shutters can be installed on most windows and even doors, but the specific configuration (panels, bi-folds) will vary depending on the opening. 

8. Should I choose wood or poly shutters?
     Most clients choose wood shutters whenever possible because they provide many advantages over poly:  a man-made composite material
     Wood is lighter and stronger than poly, allowing the shutters to be made into larger panels, up to 36 inches wide.  This means you can have fewer panels in each window opening, increasing your view of the outdoors.

9. What material should I use in my bathrooms,kitchens and garage?
     Although wood is our most popular choice for shutters, vinyl shutters are ideal for areas prone to moisture and humidity like bathrooms,kitchens and garages.  Windows that will come in direct contact with water such as in a shower are perfect areas for PVC shutters.

10. What is the lead time for your shutters ?
